The first time I ever made brownies was for my families annual Christmas gathering. I would love to say they turned out exactly how I wanted and that I was proud of them. But... I would be lying to you. Now matter how long I cooked them I couldn't get them to cook in the middle and I was so upset because they weren't perfect. This didn't stop my family though! They each took a square of my partially cooked brownies and we ate them with spoons.
This taught me an important lesson: even if a meal doesn't turn out exactly like you think they should, you can always find something good amidst the mess. Even if it is just laughing with loved ones while eating gooey brownies with a spoon.
Brownies
Ingredients:
1 cup Sugar
1/2 cup Flour
1/3 cup Cocoa Powder
1/4 tsp. Salt
1/4 tsp. Baking Powder
1/2 cup Butter
1 tsp. Vanilla Extract
2 Eggs, Room Temperature
Preparation
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees.
Combine the dry ingredients in a small bowl: sugar, flour, cocoa powder, salt, and baking powder.
Melt the butter.
In a larger bowl, beat eggs and vanilla.
Add the dry ingredients to the egg/vanilla mixture and combine well.
Mix in melted butter until completely combined.
Pour into lightly greased 8 inch pan.

Cool completely before cutting and serving.
Have Fun With It!
The most important thing to remember when making any dish, especially when it comes is to baking, keep trying. Every mistake is a learning opportunity and most cooking and baking blunders, in my experience, turn into memories and funny stories. Try these out for yourselves and let me know how it goes in the comments!
