I used to work for Jersey Mike's and they have a sandwich called the chicken Philly. It was one of my favorite sandwiches that they made. Eventually, I wanted to see if I could recreate this sandwich, so I started experimenting with what flavor combinations tasted best to me.
When I finally found the flavor combination that I wanted, I was out of bread so I used some tortillas.
Ingredients
Tortillas, large
2 Chicken Breast, sliced thin
1 Bell Pepper. sliced thin
1 Onion. sliced thin
2 tsp Salt
1 tsp Pepper
2 tsp Garlic Powder
2 tsp Onion Powder
2 tsp Parsley
1 tsp Cayenne Pepper
Step 1
Cook chicken over medium heat.
Season with salt, pepper, garlic powder, onion, powder, parsley, and cayenne.
When chicken reaches 165 degrees, remove from heat.
Step 2
In same skillet, sauté onion and bell pepper until tender.
Season with salt and pepper.
Add chicken and divide into equal portions.
Cover each portion with cheese.
Cover skillet until cheese melts.
Transfer to tortillas and wrap.
