Deviled eggs are a huge party staple, especially here in the South. Everyone does it differently, but I wanted to share a basic recipe that I use that is always a hit. At the end I will share how I recently made baby shower themed deviled egg "babies." Filling the egg halves can be done by either filling a icing bag with your favorite decorating tip or you can use a Ziplock bag and cut a small hole in one corner. Many people sprinkle paprika on the top to add a splash of color.

Ingredients:
6 Eggs
2 Tbsp Dijon Mustard
1/4 cup Mayo
2 tsp White Vinegar
Salt, to taste
Pepper, to taste
1 tsp Paprika

Step 1
Boil or steam eggs for 10 minutes.
Prepare an ice bath.
When the eggs are done, place the eggs in the ice bath for at least 2 minutes.
Step 2
Cut eggs in half and separate yolk from the whites.

Step 3
Mix yolks, mayo, mustard, salt, pepper, vinegar, and paprika together in a bowl
and transfer to decorating or Ziplock bag.
Step 4
Carefully fill the halves with the yolk mixture and top with paprika.
For Deviled Egg "Babies"
You will need:
Vienna Sausage (1 for every 6-8 eggs)
Decorating gel for the eyes.
Cut the Vienna Sausage(s) into thin slices and gently place them at one end of the deviled egg, partially covering the sausage. Use the decorating gel to create two eyes on the exposed half of the sausage.

Have Fun with It!
Many toppings can be used for these deviled eggs, including bacon, jalapenos, and olives. This basic recipe is the foundation for endless combinations just waiting for your personal touch! Keep up to date on upcoming posts on Facebook, TikTok, and Pinterest!
